Our hearts are at risk – stressful times and an ageing population are leading to increasing levels of illness. It has long been known that prevention is the most cost-effective form of treatment. Accessible, quality healthcare is essential for a healthy society, and EU funds are helping us achieve this.

The purchase of a new angiograph for Łomża Regional Hospital will enable minimally invasive procedures to be performed on-site, making cardiac examinations easier and safer. These services will be provided in newly renovated hospital facilities. In Lviv, patients will also benefit from examinations using newly acquired specialised equipment. The advanced technology will allow surgeons to perform even the most complex procedures with lower risks of complications and shorter recovery times.
Specialists on both sides of the border will participate in training sessions, cardiology and diagnostic consultations, scientific conferences, and teleconferences. To raise awareness, information will be shared via press, TV, radio programmes, the Internet, and brochures.

The project will improve access to highly specialised cardiac care for patients. Through collaboration, hospitals will expand the range of cardiac treatments, particularly diagnostics. Adults, including seniors, will have greater access to both prevention and treatment.
