Water is essential for the existence of humans, animals and plants. However, sustainable water management requires innovative technological solutions. The EcoSolutions project addresses the common challenges posed by outdated water and sewage infrastructure, which negatively affects ecological health and climate resilience in the Paprotnia Commune and Klesiv Territorial Community. Both municipalities face similar issues, including inadequate wastewater treatment, deficiencies in sewage systems, and vulnerability to climate-related events.

The project partners will address these challenges through a collaborative and comprehensive approach. This includes implementing tasks that enhance ecological well-being, improve resource management, and engage the community. Planned activities include constructing a sanitary sewage system with connectors in Kaliski (Paprotnia), and establishing a new sewage treatment plant in Klesiv, which will involve upgrading distribution networks for water and sewage. Additionally, a cross-border conference will be held, focusing on climate-related water challenges and solutions, resulting in a Cross-Border Strategy of Good Practices. Moreover, educational projects in both countries will raise awareness among school children about climate change, water conservation, and responsible usage. Opening and closing conferences will be held in Poland and Ukraine to promote the project’s results.

Through collaborative efforts, the communes will work together to create a positive impact on the environment and foster a sense of shared responsibility for greater ecological harmony in the cross-border area
